ShadowTech Teachers
About the programme
You may have been involved or familiar with the previous ‘ShadowTech’ programme which was focussed on inspiring and talking to girls in years 9 – 11 about the tech industry and career pathways. We have since expanded this programme and would now like to introduce to you ‘ShadowTech Teachers’.
ShadowTech Teachers has flipped the ShadowTech model on its head and will now be talking to the influencers – namely the secondary school teachers and career advisors.
As a mentor we will arrange for up to two local teachers/career advisors to visit your workplace for half a day. Here, you can talk them through your role and career to date, as well as covering off the type of skills and qualifications that are generally required to enter the tech industry. Depending on the type of organisation a site visit or tour may also be an option.
Registrations close 29 Jan for the ShadowTech Teacher programmes with an envisaged start date of 22 Feb.
