Senior Girls in Games
Senior Girls in Games is an immersive workshop that covers the basics of Game Art and Game Programming for aspirational game developers.
Girls in Games Senior Development Day is back on campus with a full day event with game design, game art, and game programming workshops.
The game development industry only has about a 30% representation of women. That’s something that Media Design School wants to change, and we believe the best way is to help build up those skills and interest, while providing a path forward to break into the industry with confidence.
Over the course of the day, you will be introduced to creating art assets for games in 2D or 3D. You’ll also create your own games by using a game engine and gain valuable insights from Media Design School’s Game Development faculty, so you can hone your skills to pursue your future studies with a strong foundation.
Senior Girls in Games are for students in Years 11-13 that identify as female.
This event will be held on campus on 7th July and will run from 8.30am – 4.30pm.
This year’s Key Note speaker will be Dr. Hazel Bradshaw – Emerging Technology Practice Lead (NZ) | Datacom Foundry.
Schedule coming soon.
