Ada Lovelace Day 2025

Join us to celebrate Ada Lovelace Day with our panel discussion on the importance of male allyship.

Hosted by TechWomen and Westpac New Zealand, this event is an opportunity to hear from inspiring tech leaders—including Danielle George, Head of Technology Operations & Business Applications at Westpac New Zealand —on how male allies are championing diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Ada Lovelace Day is celebrated annually on the second Tuesday of October and shines a light on the achievements of women in science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM). Ada Lovelace, often called the world’s first computer programmer, began developing algorithms in the mid-nineteenth century—over 150 years ago. Today, her legacy continues to inspire women in technology worldwide.

This special occasion brings together the community to reflect, celebrate, and drive progress. We warmly encourage attendees to bring a male colleague to share in the conversation and become an active ally in shaping a more equitable future for tech.
