Join us to celebrate Ada Lovelace Day 2025 as we honour women’s achievements in tech and explore practical allyship in the workplace.
Hosted by TechWomen and Westpac New Zealand, this event puts women’s voices front and centre. Led by keynote facilitator Danielle George, Head of Technology Operations & Business Applications at Westpac New Zealand, our panel brings together inspiring women tech leaders alongside the male colleagues who have championed their career development.
Dr Sandhya Palepu and Danielle George will share their experiences and insights, joined by Jeff Johnston and David Havercroft in a candid discussion about what effective allyship actually looks like in practice.
Ada Lovelace Day celebrates the achievements of women in STEM, honouring Ada Lovelace—often called the world’s first computer programmer. This year, we’re addressing a question our community consistently asks: “How do we get our male colleagues to truly understand and support women in tech?”
With only 2 men attending last year’s celebration, we’re taking a new approach—bringing women’s stories to the forefront while equipping our community with practical tools for workplace change.
We warmly encourage attendees to bring a male colleague to join this important conversation about creating a more equitable future for tech.
