DESCRIPTION:Following the success of ShadowTech for Students\, TechWomen NZ and CreateOps will be running ShadowTech Teachers for the first time on the 14th of November 2018. \nShadowTech Teachers will create opportunity for teachers to gain first hand understanding by directly being involved with Industry and spending the day experiencing how Technology is used in the real world. \nThe organisations participating in this are:\n• IBM\n• XERO\n• MICROSOFT\n• AIR NEW ZEALAND\n• GENESIS ENERGY\n• AUCKLAND TRANSPORT \nA summary bullet point list of the curriculum links to be gained could look like this:\n• Insight into practical application of computational thinking\n• Insight into how computer science principles/topics are relevant in the real world\n• Insight into real-world development practices\, as encouraged by the new curriculum and related NZQA standards\n• Real-world development of digital media – authentic processes and skills \nSpaces will be limited to the first 60 that register for this opportunity.
