DESCRIPTION:Event Recording: \n\n\nAbout the Event: \nJoin us this Ada Lovelace Day as we celebrate Women in Tech. \nJoin us this Ada Lovelace Day for an inspiring event featuring tech leaders from Westpac New Zealand and AcademyEX\, each sharing their unique career journeys and experiences in the tech industry. \nCelebrated annually on the second Tuesday of October\, Ada Lovelace Day honours the achievements of women in STEM fields. Ada Lovelace\, renowned as the world’s first computer programmer\, pioneered algorithm development over 150 years ago\, and her legacy continues. \nOur panellists\, facilitated by Danielle George\, Head of Technology Operations & Business Applications and Tatum Crisp\, Head of Technology Risk at Westpac New Zealand\, will share their insights and experiences\, offering a glimpse into their careers and the challenges they’ve overcome. \nYour Panellists \nPerrin Rowland – Perrin is a leading expert in human centered design and customer centricity. She will share insights on her leadership journey\, including her role as Chief Product and Experience Officer at AcademyEX. \nAnnie Vella – As Westpac’s first Distinguished Engineer\, Annie will discuss her unique career path and the role of digital technology in the financial sector. \nJulie Bremner – Service Group Owner (SGO) for Mainframe\, Julie transitioned from an analyst programmer to a leadership position after working part-time for 17 years. She will share her journey of stepping into a leadership role. \nLydia Nirmala Paul – Craft Lead for Quality Engineering\, Lydia is passionate about advancing women in tech. Her talk will focus on her experiences and commitment to fostering diversity in the technology sector. \nSara Stockley Smith – Service Group Owner for Fraud and FinCrime\, Sara’s leadership journey spans from a call centre and branch roles to her current position.
